» My turkey is already cooked...should i leave it in the oven on warm and wrapped????
No, take it out of the oven. Even if the oven is on warm the turkey will continue to cook. Leave it covered.Depends on when you're eating it. They say to leave it sit for at least 30 minutes to let the juices flow back through it, making it more tender and easier to cut. I would leave the foil on and wait until you're ready to cut it. If you want to get rid of your mess early, go and ahead and cut after the 30 minutes, put it an oven safe plate, and put in the frig to reheat for when you're ready to eat. I've done my turkey the night before, just to not have the mess if I'm eating an early meal. Just an idea. No, take it out of the oven and cover with foil.it will stay warm for another 30-45 minutes. If you have to ...... - 2009-07-02

» Can you use 2 dental plans for braces?
I was wondering, is it possible to use 2 dental plans to cover the cost of braces? My moms dental plan covers 50% of the cost, and my dads dental plan covers 50% of the cost, the 2 plans are from different companies. I live in Canada and I am 15 years old If I can only use 1 plan, is there any other way to lower the cost of braces? I don't think my parents can afford them right now, though im not sure.Probably not. Since they both pay 50%, that would be the maximum benefit allowed. The 2nd insurance will probably only cover the amount up to the maximum benefit allowed. Since the primary already covered 50%, the secondary would not pay anything on the balance. The only way to lower the cost is to shop around and get prices. If you...... - 2009-07-02

» mysql vs. mysqli
I just spent some minutes recompiling my php to enable mysqli support. As I am always on the lookout of anything that would increase the performance of my server... PHP compiled ok, I changed "config.php" to mysqli... now the question is, was it worth it? So far, I have not noticed any difference in performance. (My server is about ~200 users online) Then I came across this nice reading: http://www.johnjawed.com/benchmarks/ That says that not only mysqli is not faster, it's actually slower than using the old mysql extension. Sad. Any experiences of recommendations? Does vbulletin use prepared statements?Did you see what year this info was published? 2005. Don't be so sad. Personally, I don't believe at all the above tests are accurate. ...... - 2009-07-02

» Photo Shop and 35mm Film
Okay guys, again I am beyond New to this, Can you photoshop 35mm pictures if you get them on a disk? Thanks RyanYou can go with either a film scanner that does strips of film or slides or a flatbed scanner with a 35mm lightstrip that'll do all your film AND prints. From there you're just scanning them to whatever format you want to work with and save them on whatever media you want. The answer is yes. But the output will only be as good as the input so if your files are low res your output will be low res. Thanks guys, I know it is a pretty dumb question, but I appreciate it none the less!!!!!Don't forget that labs can scan onto CD when you get the film developed. I use this method and it's a good way to get a picture for PSing and printin...... - 2009-07-02

However in that shot I actually prefer the black and white. The rose being I suppose a "serious" flower suits black and white well there! In the case of your cactus bloom its a difficult question because the colour looks unconvincing. » 10 points best answer ... about Cyanobacteria?
1) Why was the development of Cyanobacteria important to life on earth? 2) What is a mycelium? Please, not just copy and paste information from the internet, write it in your own words ,,, thank you :DThe importance of cyanobacteria is that the evolved on earth, before there was any oxygen in the atmosphere. They were able to convert carbon dioxide and water to sugar, and excreted oxygen as a by-product. There is good evidence to suggest that most of the earth's oxygen was produced by cyanobactra. No animal life would have been able to exist, were it not for the cyanobacteria. » The Wise Auld Fox - Part II - The Great Teams
I can finally move on to one of the main reasons why I wanted to write this in the first place. The reason it has been on my mind since January, in fact. The Fox knows what he’s doing. It took him a while, but by the time we’d won the European Cup Winner’s Cup in 1991, things were starting to change for the better around the club. The football, whilst still not magnificent was improving and the players were now pulling in the same direction as a unit rather than having an almost total deference to Captain Marvel. Some of Fergie’s own signings had long since held favour with the fans. Steve Bruce, a 1987 signing from Norwich City, was a centre-back, and a massive goal-scoring threat during his time at the club....... - 2009-07-02
» What can i use as a replacement for silicone rubber for a plaster of paris mold?
in the instruction manual i found, the silicone rubber should be brush on top of the figurine before placing a layer of plaster of paris on top.. i think it is use as both as a mold release and to be able to copy the details of the figurine.. will two plaster stick together if i use petroleum jelly? wont wax or petroleum jelly ruin the details of the figurine? Usually silicon rubber is not used just as a mold release. You are supposed to cover all potential undercuts with the silicon, so they don't catch within the plaster. Look up what an undercut is, for if you have any, the figurine will be stuck inside the inflexible plaster mold and you have to smash the mold to get it out. That's why you often make a flexible...... - 2009-07-02
» I need a thesis statement for an essay im doing on the mexican american war can someone help?
Thanks!! :)Santa Anna was not all bad. He'd allowed the Americans to come into Tejas as settlers with the stipulation that they not bring slaves as slavery was by then outlawed in Mexico. They came with their slaves. Tejas was well developed in one way. The missions were running herds of cattle numbering in the tens of thousands. The eastern Americans slavered at this wealth and decided that it would be a good idea to take Tejas from Mexico. (Where do you think all those longhorns of cowboy movies came from? They were stolen.) When Santa Anna mounted an expedition to beat the Americans back he confronted a stand at the Alamo. I will mainly use this camera for on location portrait pictures at schools and nature shots. Thanks. On further lenses, I would save and get the better ones. » NWS in the Pacific NW
Okay, so enough with the acromyns. Now that I have your attention, I'd like to start a rather interesting debate/discussion of the wide variation in issuance of weather advisories from NWS office to office. So, I'm driving home from the office yesterday (around 4:45pm), and keep in mind, this is Seattle, WA we're talking about, and suddenly I encounter a deluge of small hail! I'm not talking just a brief moment, but rather 5-10 minutes of penny to nickel size hail! Indeed there were some reports of damage at local car lots, etc. etc. So, I call up the local NWS office here in Seattle and advise them of what has just happened. Traffic is at a stand still (worse than usual mind you.) Their response was about as excited as if...... - 2009-07-02

» What kind of amp for 2 10" JL W6's?
The w6's are rated at 400 RMS @ 4 ohms. Should I get a mono or a dual channel amp? Should I get an amp that has around 800 RMS @ 4 ohms? Right now I have a Kenwood 9104d 500RMS @ 4 ohms, so I think it's too weak for them. Recommendations? The Kenwood 9104d is 1 ohm stable. Might want to try and rewire your W6's to a 1-ohm load to your Kenwood amp and see how it goes before giving up on it entirely. If those are dual coiled subs, get an ampthat's 800 RMS @ 1 ohm or 4 ohm as they can be wired for either. A number of "Bible Christians" believe if it's not in the Bible, don't believe it. This is known is "sola scriptura." They also believe that people are saved by "faith alone," this is known as, "sola fides." For this reason, many Christians don't consider some Catholic teachings as valid. What I'd like to know is if anyone can proof text where either of these teachings are in the Bible? I'm looking for something EXPLICIT, not implied. This after all is the rule of thumb "Bible Christians" demand of Catholics. Sola Scriptura is a heresy from Satan. In the mid-seventies, and absolutely no later than 1974, I read a short story in a mystery or horror anthology that scared me worse than anything else I've read before or since, worse even than Stephen King's "The Shining." I'd like to know the author and title of that story. To the best of my strained recollection, the first-person narrator writes that he has a considerable reputation as an assassin, but that his skills have been challenged by a colleague who says that if it weren't for stealth and surprise, he would not be successful at overcoming his victims. There is some sort of rivalry there, as if the colleague were arguing that anybody could be a hit-and-run sneak but that it takes a strong, self-respecting, wort...... - 2009-07-02

Ok, I know this is going to be a pretty silly question, but... I recently visited a movie theater that had what appeard to be a LCD projector hanging, pointing downward, from the ceiling. It was projecting images of floating popcorn kernals on a slightly raised platform. The kids around would step on the images of the popcorn kernals (acutally stomp is more appropriate) and the kernals would pop. If the popped kernels were stomped on, they would split into two. I am familiar with SmartBoard technology, but I have never seen a platform/projector that was designed for this kind of abuse. Is there any way to limit the amount of infractions one moderator can give out in a day/week/month etc? Where are the settings...I thought I saw somewhere that one moderator can't infract the same member twice on the same post. Is this true? Does it work like reputation where you can't give infractions on posts more than x days old? If so where plz. thx.Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org (http://www.vbulletin.org)....... - 2009-07-02

» where to find 'best locations' for travel photography
Hello! I am currently teaching english in Korea and am actually planning to travel to Japan and China this summer to travel and of course, shoot! My question is, What resources can you recommend that provide the best possible information on traveling to a new country as a photographer. There is an abundance of information on travel in general, of course, But specifically for photographers? Where to shoot, what to avoid, risk involved in certain areas, etc. Appreciated as always! » New Kyocera SL300R $340 Shipped Fedex
I just bough this a week ago and it doesn't have the range I need for the flash. Here is a good review if you're not familiar w/ it (http://www.steves-digicams.com/2003_reviews/sl300r.html) It is a great little 3.2 MP camera (and I mean LITTLE), just not what I'm looking for. Boot time is nearly non-existant, battery life is great, and the time between when you click and when the thing takes the picture is nearly as good as an SLR... Like I said, I've had it a week so you'll get it in all the original packaging, blank warranty card, etc. If you're suspicious of me b/c this is my first post on this forum, email me and I'll give you home/work/cell# and we can chat, or AIM: pballinvestorguy. » If Missouri beats Ok, who will play the SEC champion? Texas or USC?
I think it should be texas... but then again USC may argue that to be in the championship you need to win your conf... which means that we will see USC vs. (alabama or florida)Bradford is right, but if Mizzou wins UT will get in the BCS Champ. Bowl.. USC Is going to play Penn St. in the Rose Bowl either way. UCLA is not a good enough opponent to propel them past UT.First, as much as I may want it, Missouri won't beat nOU. They backed their way into the Big 12 Championship and the backing will continue. At this point, this thing is so screwed up who really knows. It should have been Texas all along. 45-35 Enough Said! I would like to support up to 900 - 1000 online users and I am wondering witch would be better. Option one: Two (one mysql one apache) Redhat 7.3 Intel P4 1.7ghz 1GB DDR RAM 60gb IDE 7200rpm (2mb cache) * I currently run just one of these servers for my forums / portal. We can handle up to 300 users just fine. 400 - 700 the server is ok just a little slow. During the tax year of 2005/2006 I had 2 part time jobs whilst being a full time college student and 1 of the jobs i was in i was paying tax which i shouldn't. I was wondering if it is possible to reclaim that money now as i never got round to do it? Also how do i go by claiming it? ThanksLegally, you can claim back an overpayment for up to 6 years. I suggest that you write a letter to your local tax office. I did so recently, I explained how much I had been taxed in that particular year and how much I should have been taxed. I received a cheque from HMRC within two months. If you were working while a student, then there is a good chance you can claim all your tax back as you would have earned below your personal allowance. » What type of cable should I use if I want to connect electricity to my tree house?
The cable will be buried 2 feet under ground and an electrician will hook it up.I would use 12-2 UF (Underground Feed) up to the tree then enclose it into electrical pvc up the tree and into the house. 18" is the code for burial. I would also add a Gfci . At the breaker you can use a 20 amp breaker. If all your adding in the house is lights and a Tv then this will cover you. By running a 20 amp gives you the option of adding a little more lighting or a small fridge later on.You wouldn't have to go 2 feet you would only have to go a max of 18", and you would use type UF wire it looks like romex but it is suitable for direct burial and exposure to elements. but fastening, permanant electricial power to live vegatation is expressly forb...... - 2009-07-02

Do you think that it is right for parents that half a disability or disease to have children (because the children might get that disease or disability has well)? I don't know if this makes sense or not... but I tried. lolIf perfect people were the only ones allowed to reproduce we wouldn't have a population of 6 billion people plus on the earthVery interesting question. » Chaser Safety on Wet Roads
During my chase on Sunday (which I did not see a tornado... darn...), I nearly missed running into the back of a semi that was skidding on both lanes of wet pavement on I-70 east of Odessa, MO. There were at least 9-10 cars/trucks that I have seen in the median of the roadway between Odessa and Boonville all the result of sliding off of the roadway due to the slick conditions. If not for the guard cable that was in the middle of I-70, no telling how much more serious these accidents could have been. Of the noticeable spinouts of vehicles onto the middle of the highway included a storm chaser, I believe the back of the pickup truck said "blownawaytours.com", a chaser from Lee's Summit, MO. » Why do catholics worship Mary that much?
I'm asking this because i noticed that sometimes they even worship Mary more then Jesus who is the Son of God, and the Bible doesn't ask us to worship Mary that much as they do! Why?I am sad to see so many Catholics who do not know their Catechism. Catholics DO WORSHIP Mary. The word worship does not mean that we think someone is God that we worship. It means a form of honor or respect. God is given the worship of Latria-- meaning the way we serve an honor God is to Him alone, the form of worshipping the Saints is Dulia, and the form by which we worship Mary is called Hyper-Dulia. None of these theological terms are the same. Any worship given to Mary or the saints is given to God on high, to honor God's holy ones and Our Lad...... - 2009-07-02

So I've tried several different approaches to this problem and they don't seem to work quite right. If you could respond with an actual step-by-step, specific way of setting this up, instead of just links to Dreamweaver tutorials, that would be much appeciated! (1) what kind of sound files work(are compatible), and how big can they be? (I tried .wav files, around 200-500k) (2) how exactly do you set it up so that when you click on the button it plays the sound? (I tried linking it directly to the sound file, which didn't work, and also ...... - 2009-07-02
» Does anyone know of any Nonprofit organizations? ?
i have to complete community service.... and you could try Youth Serve America or other web sites that help find volunteer opportunities.Look on the United Way website. They have tons of resources to connect you up with the right place, that will fit your needs, and schedule. See the attached link.Your school guidance counselor should have a list of local organizations needing assistance. You cannot just drop in but call and schedule an interview with any org. that you are considering. Call the library, animal shelter, church, food pantry. Do not bother with schools since the background check is quite expensive and you have to pay that yourself. well if you have to do community service, you can go to your local library and volunteer you...... - 2009-07-02

» Accountants: How long did you have to study to pass the CPA exam?
How hard is it? Any advice?I took the Becker class. I studied a moderate amount (1 to 2 hours a night) for the duration of the class (3 to 5 weeks, depending on the section), and then I studied really hard (pretty much all of my free time) for a week afterward. Then I went and took a section of the exam. I suppose it worked, because I passed all four sections on the first try. Using this method, it took about 8 months to pass all four sections. I would say it's a pretty hard test... not unbelievably hard, but it's going to take some effort to pass. I never could have done it without taking a prep course. Hope this helps. Good luck!...... - 2009-07-02
» I want to write a book, where do i start?
Start with a story you want to tell. Pick up a pen and paper, or sit down at your computer, and tell it. Start with inspiration, anything thing. It can be a person, place, pet, anything that sparks your imagination. Then begin to write a character page, though you may not put in all information of your characters into the book, it will make you more connected to them so you can really see what it's like to be them and make the characters come to life when people read the book. Write down all the ideas you have in a journal and get a good idea where you are trying to go with your book and what point you want to get across to everyone. After all this, begin to write. Be sure to go back and edit though.when you first get the idea t...... - 2009-07-02

Usually silicon rubber is not used just as a mold release. You are supposed to cover all potential undercuts with the silicon, so they don't catch within the plaster. Look up what an undercut is, for if you have any, the figurine will be stuck inside the inflexible plaster mold and you have to smash the mold to get it out. That's why you often make a flexible...... - 2009-07-02

Okay, so enough with the acromyns. What I'd like to know is if anyone can proof text where either of these teachings are in the Bible? I'm looking for something EXPLICIT, not implied. » Mystery story in which you are the victim
» Does anyone know how to make a dog stop barking at every lil noise or when someone comes to the door?
I have several dogs...all small breeds and I can't seem to stop them from barking at every lil noise, or when someone knocks on the door or rings the doorbell. I've resorted to putting one of those child safety gates around the front door entry so the dogs can't jump on the people that come to the door. I just want them to stop barking at everything....they hear the door open to the house next door when they let their dog out and mine run to the fence ( a 6ft concrete fence ) and start barking. Please, if anyone knows how to stop the barking, besides having them de-barked...give me some ideas. Thank you.Clap your hands very loudly at them or put some coins in a bottle and shake it.bark collar. ...... - 2009-07-02

I have a small magnet collection (8 magnets) and I was wondering if I could take it on the plane? Like as carry-on luggage? I have taken 2 of them on before but would they have a problem since I have so many? You cannot take any more than 750 grams of magnetic material with carry-on luggage. You can take up to 2 kilo's of magnetic material in your suit case.GO to the TSA website and see what restrictions they have for the airline and cities you are traveling to. F.Y.I= you shouldn't keep any magnets by your computer or recorded stuff. Also, what if you are seated with someone who has a pace maker. Not a good idea! Hello folks, decided to use this pic as my first post.Just recently bought a Canon 10d along with a 50mm f/1.8 lense http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g210/tarzan100/connorgardencopy.jpgInteresting picture, not super flattering to little boy because of dark circles under his eyes. Semi-evil look and pose. Nice-looking kid, perfect lens for portraits of nice-looking kids. This is a nice-to-good start. Let's see more.http://i15.tinypic.com/643o9k9.jpgMost likely if he had looked up you could have avoided the dark circles under his eyes. I did recrop it to a vertical portrait crop and try to lighten the dark spots a bit but its a nice portrait over all.Welcome to the forum, and congrats on a good shot as your first post. » For fantasy, who is the better point guard- williams, harris, or davis?
When it comes to fantasy stats, who would contribute better? Deron Williams? Devin Harris? Baron Davis?Well I believe Baron Davis contributes far more than Williams and Harris in points and steals, but if you need assists really badly go with Williams, but Davis still gets a lot of assists.here are the facts. espn.com has barron davis ranked 42nd overall in fantasy points, deron williams and devin harris were not in the top50. go to espn.com, then fantasy basketball at the top of home page, then at the top of the next page click on player rater. that should help u make up ur mind, i would refer to that page for all fantasy sports, its hard to go against the facts.williams. thus far harris has been amazing. ...... - 2009-07-02
» Projector / Feedback hardware
Ok, I know this is going to be a pretty silly question, but... I recently visited a movie theater that had what appeard to be a LCD projector hanging, pointing downward, from the ceiling. It was projecting images of floating popcorn kernals on a slightly raised platform. The kids around would step on the images of the popcorn kernals (acutally stomp is more appropriate) and the kernals would pop. If the popped kernels were stomped on, they would split into two. I am familiar with SmartBoard technology, but I have never seen a platform/projector that was designed for this kind of abuse. Does anyone know who manufacturers this type of projector/feedback system?...... - 2009-07-02

» Have you ever dreamt that a friend who died came back to life?
If so, I'm curious as to how it felt to you. To me, I was happy, but at the same time it felt disturbingly unnatural, as if they shouldn't be here anymore. Dreams are considered real as they're happening, so this would probably be how it'd really feel. It gave me the sense that it's better to accept a friend's death, because they have moved on from this stage of life, and coming back would simply be going backwards and holding them back what are your thoughtsI have had a few about my dad in the past. And like you said. Even though i felt happy, i had to keep telling myself that he shouldn't be here, asking myself why was he here. I just purchased a Western Digital 160GB "media center" external hard drive. I bought this to a) backup files b) transfer files between my desktop and laptop c) make the process of formatting drives easier. I will primarily be storing image and music files on the external drive (surprise!). I was wondering, could I also load the software I manage these files with (itunes and adobe Photoshop album) onto the external drive so that when I plug the external drive into a friends PC, I could manage the files from their computer with familiar software? In short; can a external hard drive run applications as well as store files? I just bough this a week ago and it doesn't have the range I need for the flash.

During my chase on Sunday (which I did not see a tornado... darn...), I nearly missed running into the back of a semi that was skidding on both lanes of wet pavement on I-70 east of Odessa, MO. » Is it okay for a woman to go to a bar alone?
I really want to go to a bar..except none of my friends are 21 yet. I'm seriously considering going alone. I don't want to be hit on or anything. So I guess I probably shouldn't go alone?? I would take the metro home.I used to do it all the time. You will get hit on but you can make it an opportunity to make aquaintences. don't get wasted because you will need to watch your own back. Have fun and don't drive drunk.your going to a pub alone..no problem at all..guys do it all the time..but are you going to just drink..or dance,,see a band,,whats the attraction for you..if you are cute and sexy and alone..you are Inviting nothing But..a night of being HIT ON..even if you are fat and ugly and alone,,as it gets closer...... - 2009-07-02

Yahoo!! Fed Ex just arrived with my ISO 400 Polaroid film. Now I'm off to test this crazy camera. Watch this space for a full review.Well, I still haven't had a good day to try this camera out. It has a single shutter speed of 1/250th and 3 apertures (f/11, f/19, f/32). With ISO 400 film I really still need a pretty bright day. These were taken in front of my house on an overcast day. » Adding a user to everyone's ignore list
If you want to add a certain member to all your users' ignore lists, run this query, replacing XXX with that user's ID: UPDATE user SET ignorelist=IF(CONCAT(' ',ignorelist,' ') LIKE '% XXX %',ignorelist,CONCAT(ignorelist,' XXX')); (KEEP THE SPACES WHERE THEY ARE IN MY POST! :))hehe :cool:There is no bad effect to adding a user to the list multiple times so you don't really need that IF mess ;)And I was so proud of myself, damn. ;)The only problem with that is that it is not discrete enough. I haven't tested that code, but I think it will put that user in his own ignore list. The thing most users complain about the ignore lists is the replacement of that user's post with the text: "This user is in your ignore list..." I searched for ...... - 2009-07-02

Well I would want to start playing cod4. The thing is my computers graphics card sucks so if I want to play on my pc i need to get a new one. So should I either do that or get a 360 or ps3? I think it would cost about the same. Since there are some good graphics cards for 250. and ps3 is over 300 so i don't. What should I do?Also depends on your computers other specs and whatnot. My 8800Gt 512mb cost around $380hmm well...I have a evga geforce 8800 gts sc 612 that cost only one hundred somthing on new egg. com , and from the way I see it, I think that console will die out one of these days...and in many ways they are trying to emulate pc in consoles now anyway. » Italian Tole Chandeliers
I am interested in the history of Italian Tole Chandeliers from 1850 through1970. I am interested in information and pictures (and sources for pictures) illustrating the information. I have already looked up everything to be found by GOOGLE under the heading of "Italian Tole Chandeliers".The full name of the chandelier I am interested in is Tole Piente. They date back to the 18th century so lets expand the time frame from 1800 - 1970. Pictures and sources for pictures are very important.Have you seen all of these: http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&q=Tole+ChandeliersYes - The only one even similar is from e.wolf and it is very atypical. The tole chandeliers from rubylane are more in the ballpark but there is ...... - 2009-07-02
» adding sound in Dreamweaver
Hello! I am trying to add sounds to website I built in Dreamweaver. The idea is to make this webpage into a "soundboard", where the user can click on little buttons and soundbites plays.
