  • Your school guidance counselor should have a list of local organizations needing assistance. You cannot just drop in but call and schedule an interview with any org. that you are considering.
    Call the library, animal shelter, church, food pantry. Do not bother with schools since the background check is quite expensive and you have to pay that yourself.


  • well if you have to do community service, you can go to your local library and volunteer your time. You can also volunteer at an animal shelter, a school, and all sorts of other places. I don't think community services is limited only to charities.


  • and you could try Youth Serve America or other web sites that help find volunteer opportunities.


  • Look on the United Way website. They have tons of resources to connect you up with the right place, that will fit your needs, and schedule. See the attached link.
