  • Ok, so i was tested for gifted in 2nd grade and i was in. Im in 7th now and i just took the test again. Nationally the ur gifted if you get 97% or above, in my district they accept 90% or above for gifted. I got
99% non verbal 91% quantitative 96% non-verbal. This year im getting all A's on my tests but i never do my class work or homework really so im slipping by with d's c's and b's. I do the same things that the bad kids in school do but i always seem to talk my way out of it or i never get caught. In college id be interested in genetics, psychology, medicine, and id like to do something in law and something in weapons technology. If could someone could please set me up on the right track to accomplish my goals in life id be very thankful.

  • As much as you make not like doing class work or homework - it's really best to get it done. Especially if you know the work.

It may be boring, but getting the work done shows you're capable of being responsible. Which is important. Jobs look at your grades once you hit high school - they look at how well you did back then.

I personally am classified as "gifted" in my school district - I always hate doing the work. But I kind of have to do it if I want to get anywhere in life I suppose. Of course I could let my grades slip, and not do the work even though I do know how to do it. But then, no one else is going to know that I know it because my grades don't show it.

And trust me, colleges...you may very well be gifted, but you need the grades to prove it.

Just talking your way out of it and never getting caught is not going to work all the time. Someday there will be a point in time where you can't get away with not doing your work. It's better to get on track with that now then wait till later on. The earlier you start, the more ingrained it is to actually get the work done.

Jobs also will not accept you trying to talk your way out of things. They expect you to do the work, do it correctly, and do it on time.

There's really no excuses for not doing the work if you know it. At that point, it's basically just laziness that you have to overcome.

I wish you luck, and hope you get those grades up.
