  • In the 1982 world cup semi against france, why was klaus fischer's goal disallowed again?

my memory fails me, so can someone extremely old please fill me in?

  • this is a surprise.......

nobody need a good camera angle judging the action.......fischer wasnt offside, not by a mile....use a standing picture of a dvd player in the moment of the pass....a french defender was ca. 2 meters in the penaltybox and fischer ca. 2 meters outside of the penalty box..fischer was ca. 4 meter onside...nobody need a good camera angle ..a ridiculos offside call in my opinion an no good job from the linesman....the germans didnt protest but have you seen the face of fischer after the call.???he didnt believe it....

the penaltyboxline is the key judging this action.....

    hmmm..i see

I need to get hold of that game again

2 french players was inside of the box..one of them ca. 2-3 meters and the other ca. 1-2 meter inside of the box + 1 other german player was inside of the box but he wasnt offside too..fischer was ca. 2 meter outside of the box...the offside call against fischer was ridiculos.. fischer was recalled wrongfully a wonderful headball goal.....

  • Ah right, thanks mate.

  • ok thanks gregoriak

it's just someone asked me about this (an italian). He asked me why klaus fischer's goal was disallowed in that game. He mentioned "was it to even things out after the schumacher/battiston "travesty" ? ". So i guess he is talking about something that happened after that incident..

  • Thanks for clarifying, Bauser.

Wow, you really seem to be an expert! ;)

Nice greets % Merry Christmas to Oslo!

  • Fischer scored a disallowed goal on a header which was called offside. It was during the first half of extra time. The camera angle was not in the right spot to confirm whether the linesman made a correct decision or not. There was not much protesting by the Germans anyway.

  • hmm well according to what you say it seems a lot more of an obvious goal than kuntz's disallowed one in 1996 , which I thought was a fair goal anyway

Speaking of Kuntz's disallowed goal in 1996, isn't it ironic how the English cried murder when Campbell's similar goal was disallowed against the Portuguese in 2004? They weren't complaining about that rule in 1996!

  • I don't recall Klaus Fischer having scored a disallowed goal in that game. He scored with a bicycle kick in extra-time, that goal counted.

The French scored two disallowed goals, twice Dominique Rocheteau. The first got disallowed for a foul play and the second due to off-side.
