im thinking about gettin bypass surgery but i wanna know how long will i have to be on bed rest because i have a 3 year old son.
i had a quadruple by-pass 2 years ago and i was home 2 days after my operation. recovery is quite painful especially where the sternum has been stitched. i only stayed in bed for about two weeks but each day i always got out of bed and did some walking and exercise. every day gets better if you do the right things. all in all i would say complete recovery can be within 7-12 months. if you go ahead with it i wish you all the luck in the world. i am 100% fit now and lucky to be alive.
you will be surprised how well you will be getting around, you just want be able to pick up your son for month or so or let him hit you in the chest. Also if your car has air bags disconnect or ride in the back on your ride home.
From a triple bypass without complications as an example is most patients are discharged from the hospital 5 to 7 days after bypass surgery. The recovery time at home following that is usually 4-6 weeks before resuming work.
Well, first get your butt off the computer and then go jog the track, then lose weight, then go ask a doctor, not a website of bloggers, my friend. Then, hey, maybe you won't need a bypass!
