The cable will be buried 2 feet under ground and an electrician will hook it up.
You wouldn't have to go 2 feet you would only have to go a max of 18", and you would use type UF wire it looks like romex but it is suitable for direct burial and exposure to elements. but fastening, permanant electricial power to live vegatation is expressly forbidden by the NEC (nation electrical code).
You would use Romex 12-2 WG type UF. "UF" is rated for direct burial
and 2 feet is good. (18 inches deep is minimum)
It should be fused at no greater than 20 amps.
I would use 12-2 UF (Underground Feed) up to the tree then enclose it into electrical pvc up the tree and into the house. 18" is the code for burial. I would also add a Gfci . At the breaker you can use a 20 amp breaker. If all your adding in the house is lights and a Tv then this will cover you. By running a 20 amp gives you the option of adding a little more lighting or a small fridge later on.
assuming youare not gonna run a microwave or a bunch of lights, buy 12/2 UF that should hold wat ever you run there
Aw, Run a 220 line out there,.. Any treehouse without a full sized refrigerator isn't a treehouse.
